A new addition has been added to the Victorian music festival calendar with brand new spectacle, Bendigo Autumn Music (BAM).
Launched by the team behind Mullum Music Festival and Bello Winter Music, BAM will take over the heart of Bendigo for four days in 2019, with its inaugural event scheduled for 25-28 April.
The boutique family-friendly arts and music festival will host over 80 performances in 14 venues throughout the run, including live music venues, pubs, cafes and community halls.
Although the first line-up announce is still weeks away, audiences can expect a similar calibre of artists previously featured on Mullum Music Festival and Bello Winter Music bills, which have in recent years included the likes of Tash Sultana, Milk Carton Kids, Jen Cloher, Marlon Williams, The Church and Stella Donnelly.
"There are no gates, port-a-loos, bag searches or endless queues, no VIP exclusion zones. We are committed to equal representation of the sexes in our programming and performers of all ages," BAM's Glenn Wright said.
"The existing energy for music and cultural events in the area is astounding, with passionate arts communities across Bendigo, Castlemaine, Maldon, Newstead, Kyneton, Woodend, Clunes, Daylesford, Malmsbury and many more.
"We are confident that BAM will contribute to that existing groundswell and further grow and connect in with the thriving local scenes."
