Iceland's Ólafur Arnalds has today announced he'll be visiting Aus this November and December for a six date tour.

The award-winning musician, composer and producer is promising to share tracks from his forthcoming album, RE:MEMBER, which is due out next month.

He'll also be demonstrating the 'self-playing' piano, which uses custom software "born out of two years of work by the composer and audio developer Halldór Eldjârn" and "is the centrepiece of Arnalds’ new works."

"The self-playing pianos are a jolt to the creative process that forces me to try new and often surprising things," said Arnalds of the instrument.

"In a live setting the pianos are an integral part of the performance due to their generative nature. Each time they are played is a little different, making every performance unique."

The tour kicks off in Brisbane on 27 November before visiting Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne, before wrapping up in Adelaide.

Tickets are on sale from 3 August; head to theGuide for more info.
