Rage Against The Machine and Prophets Of Rage legend Tom Morello has revealed plans to tour Australia in support of his forthcoming studio album, The Atlas Underground.
Speaking on The Music Podcast, the iconic guitarist said he hopes to return to the country in "early 2019".
"The idea was to do something very non-traditional," Morello told hosts Dave & Neil of the live show he wants to tour.
"It's gonna be [an] immersive, kind of, art installation experience, rather than a rock show.
"Sydney or Melbourne. One of those cities will definitely get it. The idea is to set up and play with sort of a small capacity, like, multiple shows in one city."
Due out on 12 October, The Atlas Underground sees Morello team with a number of fellow big names including Marcus Mumford, Portugal. The Man, Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA and GZA, Big Boi, Gary Clark Jr and Steve Aoki to name a few.
"The humble ambition was to forge a new genre of music," Morello told Dave & Neil.
"So basically, take the Marshall stack riff rock guitar crazy noises that I do for a living over the course of the last couple of decades and to meld it with hard EDM beats..."
