Well hot damn. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Pretty Things’ S.F. Sorrow, the band will be heading to Australia for a series of farewell performances this October.
The trailblazers will kick things off in Sydney before heading to Brisbane, Geelong, Adelaide and Perth for the first time.
Three three shows are scheduled in Melbourne, including a one-off special performance of their landmark psych album S.F. Sorrow played in full at the Thornbury Theatre on 6 October.
The band has announced they will retire from electric performances at the end of this year, with their swansong taking place this December in London.
Tickets for the farewell tour go on sale tomorrow. Head to theGuide and don’t miss your last chance to see why Bowie sang “Oh! You Pretty Things”.
