APRA AMCOS and the Australian Music Centre have just announced the 2018 Art Music Awards finalists. 

The awards celebrate a diverse range of contemporary classical, jazz and experimental artists, composers and performers.

2018 finalists include composers and performers Andrew Ford, Connor D'​Netto, Eugene Ughetti, and Keyna Wilkins and organisations West Australian Symphony OrchestraMoorambilla Voices, Orpheus Club String Quartet and Gondwana Choirs.

The award ceremony will take place at Melbourne's Plaza Ballroom on 21 August.

CEO of the Australian Music Centre, John Davis, said he was pleased “to see first-time finalists and the emerging generation of artists featured prominently across this year’s award categories, alongside more established names”.

“This is testament to the vibrancy of our art music scene, reflecting a rich landscape of creative practice across the sector.”
