After dishing up one of its biggest line-ups to date earlier this year, beloved annual event Bluesfest has soared into global media industry bible Pollstar's mid-year report.

Not only has the Bryon Bay event taken out #1 Australian Festival on the Top 100 Worldwide Concert Grosses list, it’s also been ranked #14 globally, putting it alongside some series international heavyweights.

“This news has blown me away,” Bluesfest director Peter Noble said.

“It is a testament to not just the artists we book who come and produce so many memorable performances, and not just to the team of 600 plus who work tirelessly to produce Bluesfest, but it is testament also to our loyal Bluesfest customers who purchase the tickets, spread the word and return year on year.

“These are the people who inspire me to try and achieve greater line-ups year after year to be as big as I can – and to book the best I am able."

Next year’s 30th-anniversary celebrations are already shaping up to be huge, with almost 50% of tickets already sold even before any artists have been named.

The 2019 event will once again take over Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm over the Easter long weekend; check out the Bluesfest website for all the details.
