Sydney post-rock legends sleepmakeswaves have announced that to coincide with their 10th anniversary this year, they will be heading out on the road for a very special celebration.
Celebrating the 2008 release of their debut EP in today, already walks tomorrow the band will bring back founding guitarist, Jonathan Khor, for the run of shows.
Speaking about the anniversary Khor said "I'm delighted to be sharing the stage with these fine men once again”.
“It will be just like a family reunion, but without the creepy uncle."
Kicking things off in Canberra on 15 September, the band will then head to Newcastle and Wildwood Festival in Port Macquarie before being joined by And So I Watch You From Afar for the Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth legs.
The tour is the band’s way of saying thank you to their fans and said in a letter they will be “reaching deep into the back catalogue to unearth some old favourites, as well as some more recent jams”.
The band also teased some exciting news ending the statement by saying "this is the first of a few announcements coming your way this year so stay tuned as there's a few tricks left in these post-rock dogs".
