Despite some encouraging signs and a Gold Logie win to Grant Denyer, Sydney's 2DayFM breakfast has fallen to the bottom of the FM ladder again with a share of 4.3%, while triple j breakfast jumped ahead thanks to an increase of 1.0, pulling a 5.2% share.

The youth broadcaster has enjoyed some nice boosts across the board in the latest survey, seeing its overall weekday share increase to 5.2%.

WSFM remains Sydney's most-listened to FM station and has increased its overall weekday share by 1.0 to 10.7%.

ABC Melbourne's breakfast slot has taken another hit, which has lost almost a full point since the beginning of 2018 and the departure of Red Symons. The slot fell by 0.4 points in the latest survey to pull a share of 9.2% — this time last year, Symons' show posted a share of 11.3%.

It comes after the ex-Skyhooks guitarist revealed he was never given an explanation by ABC about why he was being moved on.

As Fairfax reports, ABC's stance remains unchanged, with a spokesman saying, "The ABC sees the results of this survey as steady, with minor movements across all programs and across most markets around the country".

Meanwhile, Gold 104.3 has retained the title of Melbourne's most-listened to FM station with an overall share of 10.8%, beating out 101.9 Fox FM by just 0.4 points.

The results weren't as impressive in the Perth market, but triple j has increased its overall share of 0.4 points to 5.4% following healthy spikes across the board, most notably in the evening slot (up by 1.1 points).

There was no stopping Mix 102.3 from remaining Adelaide's most-listened to station either, which increased its overall weekday share by 0.6 points to 15.4%, easily beating Nova 91.9 in second spot with an overall share of 10.5%.
