DZ Deathrays fans were thrown into chaos last week when the band mysteriously posted “END OF AN ERA” on their Facebook page, but it seems they were alluding to an exciting announcement, with the Brisbane rockers today confirming an epic September tour.

Celebrating a solid 10 years, the thrash party duo will embark on their biggest headline run to-date, covering off hits from their three records and joined by Toronto punk rockers PUP on all shows.

The five-date stint will deliver a city-specific festival-style line-up in each state, with killer opening supports confirmed, including Ali Barter, Press Club, The Gooch Palms and more on various shows.

DZ Deathrays’ anniversary tour follows on from the release of this year’s Bloody Lovely LP, which cracked the ARIA top five and produced summer anthems Shred For Summer, Like People and more.

In recent years, PUP have scored hero status in the punk rock scene, following the release of 2016’s The Dream Is Over and an accompanying music video featuring Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard.

The tour kicks off at Metropolis Fremantle on September 13 with support from The Love Junkies and Foam, before hitting HQ, Adelaide on September 14 with Ali Barter and Horror My Friend; Forum Melbourne on September 15 with Ali Barter, Yacht Club DJs and Press Club; Enmore Theatre, Sydney on September 20 with The Gooch Palms, Straight Arrows and a Polish Club DJ set, and The Tivoli, Brisbane on September 21 with a Velociraptor DJ set and special guests.
