Brisbane Festival has already turned it on this year with two huge book-end opening and closing gigs and now they have upped the ante again with the rest of the line-up.
Festival central at Treasury Brisbane Arcadia in South Bank will offer punters an entertainment playground with multiple performance venues, bars and food stalls. The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent will see gigs from Destroyer, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Jen Cloher, The Teskey Brothers, Tkay Maidza and Touch Sensitive & CC : Disco B2B.
Arts Editor Maxim Boon picks the 10 shows from the 2018 Brisbane Festival you won't want to miss.
Taking over The Tivoli will be Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Cat Empire frontman Harry James Angus, the much-loved Pub Choir and Yothu Yindi And The Treaty Project.
Also at The Tivoli, but in a brand new ‘in the round’ set-up fans will be able to get up close and personal with Sarah Blasko, Gareth Liddiard (The Drones) and Polish Club.
QPAC will also set the stage for two of the festival’s most exciting musical collaborations including Katie Noonan’s Elixir and Michael Leunig and then Eskimo Joe joining forces with Camerata in respective performances.
