Remember the days you could wander through your local Kmart and pick up your favourite CD or that movie you saw that one time and loved and can't believe it exists for $9?

Well, you'd better relive them while you can because those days are almost gone as the Australian retail store has confirmed it will cease selling CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays.

A spokesperson confirmed to The Music today that the transition actually began at the start of this month and punters will no longer be able to make those purchases once the current stock runs out.

"As part of Kmart expanding range of in house designed products we have made the decision to exit DVD’s, CD’s and Blu-ray products so as to allow space within the store for our new creative and activity-based kids products," a statement given to The Music reads.

"At present, our DVD’s, CD’s and Blu-ray products are currently on clearance as part of the transition, we thank our customers and suppliers for their support."

Well, it was fun, Kmart. Thanks for the sweet, sweet (and well-priced) memories.
