After mid-week projections, 5 Seconds Of Summer have come through with the goods, breaking a near-seven year drought on the ARIA charts.

The Sydney outfit's new album, Youngblood, has debuted at #1 on the Albums chart, while they also retain top spot on the Singles chart for a fifth-straight week.

They are the first Australian act to hold #1 on both lists, since Gotye did the same in August 2011.

It comes after 5SOS became the first local act to hit top spot on the Singles chart in almost two years and debuted at #3 on the UK Top 100 Album charts earlier today.

Rounding out the new releases this week is The CartersEverything Is Love (#6), Calum Scott’s Only Human (#7), Cosmo's Midnight's What Comes Next (#36) and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever's Hope Downs (#24).

Other albums debuting on the chart include Christina Aguilera's Liberation at #9, Mike Shinoda's Post Traumatic at #12 and Jess & Matt's Songs From The Village at #11.
