After teasing fans with a series of social media posts earlier this year, Amy Shark has confirmed blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus will feature on her upcoming debut album, Love Monster.
The Gold Coast artist announced on Twitter that the punk rock legend will appear on the LP after telling The Music Podcast in April that the two met during an overseas run.
"I was in Hawaii having a couple of days off and I came back to my phone and checked my Twitter messages and I had a message from Mark Hoppus saying, 'Hello Amy. My name is Mark. Hear you're a blink-182 fan, I'm a fan of yours. We have some friends in common... next time you're in LA, we should have a coffee,'" Shark said.

"When I came to... I said 'Hi Mark, this is fantastic. I'm in LA in a couple of days actually. So please, can this happen?'
"So we had coffee, spoke about music, I said I'm pretty knee-deep in my album right now, but God, I've got some demos that if you were interested in being a part of, I'd love that."

Meanwhile, staying on blink-182, the band have been forced to reschedule some shows of their Las Vegas residency, as drummer Travis Barker has confirmed he is suffering from "blood clots in both arms and a staff infection".
