Have you ever sat in the audience at a musical theatre production and admired all the smaller details? You know, beyond just the stellar acting performance, there's the set design, costuming, sound, lighting and a whole lot more.
NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art) have shared a behind the scenes look at all of these elements in the video below, with students from their Acting, Design for Performance, Costume, Scenic Construction & Technologies, Properties & Objects, and Technical Theatre & Stage Management cohorts working together to bring a theatre production to life during their Student Production season late last year.
If this has piqued your interest, head along to NIDA's Open Day on Saturday 16 June where you can experience what happens at NIDA firsthand, including backstage tours, alumni talks, free shows, workshops and more.
