Ground-breaking Croatian pianist Maksim Mrvica has announced September dates for his first visit to Australia.

The renowned crossover artist, known for his unique blend of virtuosic classical playing and electronic elements, will play in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney on 27, 28 & 30 Sep respectively.

Mrvica famously began playing at nine, holding his first concert at 11 and going on to win first prize at the Rubinstein Piano Competition in Paris despite living in wartime Croatia.

He's since sold millions of albums and built a hugely successful career touring the globe.
