Dan Sultan has issued a statement apologising for "inexcusable and disrespectful" behaviour at a gig in Cairns on Saturday night.
As The Cairns Post reports, all of the punters who attended the show at Tank Arts Centre will have their tickets refunded after the ARIA Award-winning songwriter's performance which was described as "like watching a train wreck".
Another attendee wrote on Facebook that they walked out after the third song, "around the time Dan fell off his chair".
"I want to apologise to all of my fans, particularly those who were at the Cairns show on Saturday night," Sultan's statement posted to Facebook reads.
"My behaviour was inexcusable and disrespectful. I’d also like to extend an apology to the staff at Tanks Arts Centre for what occurred.
"I am taking stock of my personal situation and am seeking professional help."

Sultan is currently scheduled to perform in Wagga Wagga on Friday; The Music has contacted promoters for comment.
