Troye Sivan's forthcoming second album, Bloom, is out a couple of months off dropping and the news is now official; Sydney's own Gordi (aka Sophie Payten) is just one of two featured artists on it.

Sivan and Gordi worked on his track Postcard together, which seems like a pretty good fit given that back in 2015 Sivan tweeted her saying, "You're my favourite artist I've found in 2015 so far. Beautiful, excellent stuff. Honestly can't gush enough."

Gordi spoke exclusively with theMusic today, sharing how the collab and track came about.

"I was passing through LA at the beginning of last year and caught up with Troye to do some writing," said Gordi.

"We got chatting and he told me that when he was traveling through Japan he sent his boyfriend a postcard that was never picked up and we ran with that as an idea for a song.

"We recorded a demo that day and then we worked on it between Australia and LA. It was a real pleasure to write with Troye and I was stoked that this song made it onto his record."

Bloom is out 31 August. Postcard is yet to be released, but check out the album's title track below. You can catch Gordi at Mullum Music Festival this November; head to theGuide for more info.
