A star-studded cast of industry figures have today been confirmed to attend next month's Sydney Film Festival, including Aussie director, Leigh Whannell (Saw, Insidious).
The Melbourne-born filmmaker and former Recovery host will attend the festival in support of his new film, Upgrade.
Also announced on today's list includes Melbourne comedian Celia Pacquola, star of the SFF opening night film, The Breaker Upperers, who will introduce the gala screening alongside the film's directors, writers and co-stars, Jackie van Beek and Madeleine Sami.

Others named include award-winning Indian film legend, Nandita Das (Manto), BAFTA award-winning director Bart Layton (American Animals), Aussie director-producer Robert Connelly and New Zealand director-producer Pietra Brettkelly (Yellow Is Forbidden).
