Purple Sneakers are gearing up for their 12th birthday and to celebrate, it will go down at Sydney institution The Lansdowne next month.

Confirmed to be performing at the birthday bash, presented by Vivid Sydney and FBi Radio, includes the likes of Rainbow ChanDro Carey (his first Sydney show in 18 months), ALTA, Thandi Phoenix, Annie Bass, CLYPSO, Slim Set and a DJ set from Love Deluxe.

Those names will be joined by a slew of stellar DJ talent including Sandro Dallarmi, Sports, SWYTCH DJs, All My Friends DJs, Lex Deluxe, Isa and the newly-relaunched Purple Sneakers DJs team.

"Purple Sneakers is an integral part of the Australian music community, particularly within dance and club music, and its exciting to be able to continue celebrating another year of backing emerging artists in conjunction with Vivid Sydney," Purple Sneakers managing editor, Emma Jones, said.

"This year’s line up features some of our absolute favourite artists for the past few years, and they’re all much loved within our community so it will be very special to celebrate our birthday alongside them."

On the move to The Lansdowne, Purple Sneakers’ founder Martin Novosel said, "The inner west is something of a spiritual home for Purple Sneakers.

"So when the team decided that it was time to upgrade the live music production at our annual event it was only natural to move the event to The Lansdowne, another iconic inner west venue that has a rich heritage in live music. Plus it’s a stones throw from where it all started 12 years ago on Broadway."

The event goes down 6pm on Saturday 16 June; for details on tickets, click on theGuide.
