Community Broadcasting Association of Australia's National Community Radio Awards have been revamped for their 2018 edition.
This year sees an additional 12 new categories announced, including Excellence in Creative Audio, Excellence In Innovative Programming & Content, Best New Radio Program, Best Online Content, Excellence In Journalism and more to "reflect success across more aspects of outstanding community broadcasting."
"These awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise some of the incredible work happening in community radio stations around Australia every day," said Community Broadcasting Association of Australia CEO Jon Bisset.
"The categories acknowledge the multi-faceted role these stations play as independent, free-to-air broadcasters, participatory community hubs and not-for-profit organisations. They celebrate the contributions that these stations make to strengthening Australian communities. We’re really excited to see this year’s entries roll in!"
The CBAA Community Radio Awards Gala Dinner will take place on the Gold Coast on 10 November, and CBAA members can submit nominations from now until 27 June. Head here for more info.
