Byron Bay legends Parkway Drive have smashed their way to the top of the Aussie Albums chart, with their new record, Reverence, claiming a #1 debut.
By knocking Post Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys from first place to #2, the metalcore outfit has scored their second consecutive #1 record, with 2015’s Ire also debuting on top.
The top 10 is populated by a number of other locals this week, with Sydney’s Middle Kids claiming #10 with Lost Friends, Missy Higgins’ Solastalgia sitting at #6 and iconic musician Gurrumul holding steady at #9 with his posthumous LP Djarimirri (Child Of The Rainbow).

US singer Leon Bridges has also scored a top ten debut, as his second record, Good Thing, lands at #8, while Tropical F**k Storm’s A Laughing Death In Meatspace (#25), American hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd’s SR3MM (#37), Jon Hopkins' Singularity (#44) and Shinedown’s Attention Attention (#45) also debut.
Over on the Singles chart, Childish Gambino’s hit This Is America debuts at #7, with new music from Shawn Mendes and Troye Sivan's new single, Bloom, landing at #34.
5 Seconds Of Summer's Youngblood and Amy Shark's I Said Hi have jumped into the top ten and 15 respectively, while Drake’s Nice For What bumps Post Malone from #1.
