Victorian non-profit youth music organisation The Push has today announced Kate Duncan as the organisation's new CEO.

Duncan has been with The Push for two years as Creative Producer, working across a range of projects, including Live At The Steps, an all-ages live music event that saw over 10,000 people attend in 2018.

"On behalf of The Push board of management we are delighted to appoint Kate Duncan as our new CEO. Kate’s demonstrated passion for the organisation, coupled with her strong work ethic and ability to communicate with partners and audiences alike, makes her the ideal appointment," said The Push board chairman, Darren Sanicki.

"We are thrilled to commence the next part of The Push’s journey as Victoria’s premiere youth music organisation under Kate’s guidance and leadership."

"I am completely honoured and super excited to have the opportunity to lead Victoria’s peak youth music organisation into its next chapter," said Duncan of her new role. "After 30 years of incorporation, it is time for The Push to redefine our positioning as a relevant and dynamic organisation in fostering Victoria’s future generations of music industry leaders and audiences."

In celebration of her work with The Push, Duncan placed 44th on The Music's Power 50 list earlier this year. Read more about Duncan and her work here.
