The premiere music and arts event in the NT, Darwin Festival, has given punters a taste of what they're in for in 2018 by revealing the first performances of the line-up.
Heading to the festival this year will be the likes of North East Arnhem Land rapper Baker Boy and New Zealand comedian Urzila Carlson, as well as performances from The Australian Ballet and much more.
"Darwin audiences are unique in what they love to experience, so with this in mind we’ve really looked at shows that speak to this desire for all things inspiring, enlightening, quirky, and off-kilter," festival artistic director Felix Preval said.
"Much like Territorians themselves, this line up of early release shows contains a healthy mix of heart, honesty and hilarity."
The festival's opening night celebration will be a special performance of Buried Country, an explosive storytelling experience of Indigenous nation featuring musicians like Warren H. Williams, Buddy Knox, Leah Flanagan and more.
Early release tickets to Darwin Festival are on sale now with the full program being revealed on Thursday 21 June.
