For the first time in 35 years, all four members of iconic Swedish group ABBA have recorded new music together.
In a statement released to the band's Instagram account last night, Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad announced that they have recorded not one, but two new songs in preparation for their upcoming ABBA avatar project.
"The decision to go ahead with the exciting ABBA avatar tour project had an unexpected consequence. We all four felt that, after some 35 years, it could be fun to join forces again and go into the recording studio. So we did," reads the statement.
"And it was like time had stood still and that we only had been away on a short holiday. An extremely joyful experience!"
The post continues on to say that one of songs, I Still Have Faith In You, will be performed by their "digital selves" in an upcoming TV special by NBC and BBC, which is expected in December this year.
