Newcastle rabble-rousers These New South Whales have graduated from the internet, announcing that the second series of their musical mockumentary will air on Comedy Central Australia.

To accompany the massive news, the band have released a teaser trailer for the new season that features the likes of The Cure's Roger O'Donnell, Jimmy Barnes, Daniel Johns, Dune Rats, Round The Twist's Jeffery Walker (aka the best Bronson) and a stack more.

"We are over the moon, back to earth and then back over the moon again to be partnering with Comedy Central," show creators Todd Andrews, Jamie Timony and Ben Timony said.

"If you want the best meat you go to the best butcher, know what I mean? We couldn’t think of a better home for our baby boo-boo."

While the first webseries introduced us to the punk four-piece as they made a name for themselves in Sydney's Inner West music scene, the second series will see the boys jump on a luxury double-decker bus for the tour of their lives.

"These New South Whales is hilarious and the partnership emphasises the commitment Comedy Central Australia has to homegrown comedians...or are they musicians?” head of Comedy Central ANZ, Simon Bates said.

The new series will premiere online at Comedy Central on 9 May before airing across Comedy Central ANZ on Fetch TV channel 108, see below for the full teaser trailer.
