2Day FM has continued the positive Breakfast results from the first survey of 2018, with the Em Rusciano, Grant Denyer and Ed Kavalee-fronted show jumping up 1.0% for an overall share of 4.4%, while triple j's Ben & Liam dropped 0.9% to clock an overall share of 4.3%, making it the last-placed FM station in the breakfast slot.

Meanwhile thanks to improvements across the board, KIIS 1065 is now Sydney's most listened-to station after posting an overall weekday share of 9.5%.

Triple J's shaky start to the year in Melbourne hasn't gotten easier either; the youth broadcaster's overall weekday share has dropped by 0.5% due to hits across the board, most notably the Weekend slot (down 1.7%).

Meanwhile, 101.9 FOX FM has retained the #1 FM crown with an overall weekday share of 11.4%, well ahead of Smooth 91.5 in second with an overall share of 10.1%.

brisbane

Similarly to Melbourne, triple j's Brisbane market suffered drops in all slots and posted an overall weekday share of 6.9% (down 1.5% from the previous survey).

Larger drops came through the Breakfast (down 1.0%), Drive (down 1.5%) and Weekend (down 3.0%) slots.

Meanwhile with some healthy spikes, 97.3 FM has surged yet again and can call itself Brisbane's most-listened to FM network after posting an overall weekday share of 12.9%, toppling last survey's winner, Nova 106.9, which fell to second with an overall share of 12.1%.

perth

Perth proved to be the toughest market this outing for triple j, despite its overall figures still holding strong.

The station's overall weekday share fell by 1.9% following heavy drops in the Weekend (down 3.8%), Evening (down 2.4%) and Drive (down 2.0%) slots.

Mix 94.5 ensured the second survey of 2018 would be a landslide for FM stations by posting an overall weekday share of 15.6%, leaving a big gap to Nova 93.7 in second with 12.0%.

adelaide

Triple J again suffered blows in the Adelaide market, with its overall weekday share falling to 5.5% (down 1.4% from the previous survey), despite Breakfast increasing ever so slightly by 0.1%.

Nothing could deny Mix 102.3 from top spot for FM stations in the WA capital though, which pulled an overall weekday share of 15.7%, well ahead of Triple M in second with a share of 10.9%.
