Attendees of Tuesday's Gold Coast Film Festival opening night were evacuated from the cinema after a fire alarm was set off during the film.

As Gold Coast Bulletin reports, hundreds of people, including actors Vince Colosimo and Rachel Blake, were forced to exit the Home Of The Arts Centre in Surfers Paradise midway through The Second.

Fire crews attended the venue shortly after to reset the alarm.

It's reported that a number of the people who exited the venue did not return to the cinema following the incident.

The Music has contacted Gold Coast Film Festival for comment.
