Popular Melbourne '80s outfit I'm Talking have discussed a potential reunion following the reissue of their 1986 album, Bear Witness, last month.
Speaking to Herald Sun's Cameron Adams, group member Kate Ceberano said she wants to hear guitarist Robert Goodge "play those songs again".
"I don’t know anyone who plays rhythm guitar like he does," Ceberano said.
"I’m completely itching to play live. [Singer Zan Abeyratne] and I are very enthusiastic about it, as is [bassist Barbara Hogarth], so if the chicks have anything to do with it… "
While Goodge said he has no interest in returning to the stage, he admitted the recent re-release of the band's only studio LP "has melted away any negativity".
"Some people in the band haven’t played for years, some of us have," he said.
"We will probably never reconstitute ourselves exactly the same way. It could be a thing that happens… "
Bear Witness peaked on the Australian music charts at #14 and included hits like Do You Wanna Be and Holy Word.
I'm Talking eventually disbanded in 1987 after Ceberano departed to pursue a solo career.
