UPDATE: Thieves have reportedly returned Cherry Bar's Foo Fighters mirror.
Owner/booker James Young posted the news to the venue's Facebook, saying it was being mailed from Adelaide.
Police were not involved in the incident.
Melbourne live music venue Cherry Bar has called out punters who allegedly stole a mirror from them that was gifted by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.
Owner/booker James Young has given the thieves until 3am on Tuesday morning (when they close up) to return the item, “no questions asked”, otherwise they will go to the police.
In a puntastic Facebook statement, Young claims to have the credit card details of the individuals in question, reporting to have CCTV footage of one of them at the bar.
“I think we can all agree that this... reflects very poorly on these disappointing young men,” James said.
“We would implore these guys to...take a good hard look at themselves in the mirror, and then return the mirror.
“Wipe that evil smile off your face and do the right thing.
Cherry Bar say they have been contacted by the “Foo Fighters ‘family’”, who offered to replace the mirror, but Young and co “really want” the original one back.
