Emerson Snowe has opened up about his new sober writing process after inking a fresh deal with Liberation Records.
Brisbane-based musician Jarrod Mahon has been performing under the Snowe moniker for several years, to critical acclaim. Upon the release of his latest single Could You Love Me?, the singer touched on how being sober has improved his writing.
"As I’m writing this I am 20 months without alcohol. The hangar it had on my life was unbelievable and for once I was actually able to believe in what I wanted to create physically and mentally," Mahon said.
"Could You Love Me? is a fitting debut, the irony in it is that it has the feeling of how I felt before I had the self-confidence in being comfortable with myself."
The track is taken from the artist's forthcoming LP and comes complete with a self-directed video clip.
Mahon joins a roster of artists the include the likes of D.D Dumbo, Gordi, Julia Jacklin, Slum Sociable, Vance Joy and more.
