A string of big-name local acts and a US Grammy Award-winning producer are set to feature at the inaugural Melbourne Sessions this year.

Taking place at Yarraville's Kindred Studios on 6 July, the event (presented by APRA AMCOS and Creative Victoria) will include workshops and talks from LA-based producer Warryn Campbell (Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Missy Elliot), as well as Jen Cloher, Adalita, Dallas Frasca, Joelistics and more.

Also set to appear is Ben Abraham, co-writer of Kesha's Grammy-nominated single Praying.

"I am stoked to have the chance to lead a masterclass for The Melbourne Sessions<' Abraham said.

"I grew up around songwriting and am super passionate to share everything I know about the craft with anyone who will listen."
