Forget Good Friday, today is great Thursday because Perth muso and The Simpsons super fan Dan Cribb is back with a double instalment of Worst Tribute Ever.
This month is all about character theme songs as Adelaide singer Mane lends her expansive vocals to a perfectly cromulent cover of The Ballad Of Jebediah Springfield, transforming the tune into a goth-rock corker.
"I think Mane’s haunting and commanding voice might make The Ballad Of Jebediah Springfield one of Worst Tribute Ever’s biggest songs yet," Cribb said.
To counterbalance the dramatics, Cribb also dropped a high-octane cover of a classic McBain song Blessed Be The Guy That Bonds, sharing the mic with Brisbane vocalist and lead singer for The Cutaways, Emmy Hour.

"Emmy was initially going to be a guest vocalist at our Worst Tribute Ever Brisbane show last September, but we couldn’t make the timing work, so the conversation turned to the recording and I’m so glad she contributed to the McBain theme," Cribb said.
The two new tunes are excellent additions to Cribb’s overflowing series which includes Monorail with Clowns’ Hanny J, Flaming Moe’s featuring Alex Lahey and a stack more.
