Get ready to happy cry because folk-rock extraordinaire Sam Beam, aka Iron & Wine, just announced a massive run of Australian shows.
Beam will bring his full band Down Under this May and June, performing two shows in both Melbourne and Sydney before moving onto Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth.
The singer has long been a stalwart of the folk-rock scene, releasing six studio albums over the last 15 years, culminating in 2017’s Grammy-nominated Beast Epic.
"Over the years, I’ve enjoyed experimenting with different genres, sonics and songwriting styles and all that travelled distance is evident in the feel and the arrangements here," Beam said of the LP.
"The muscles seemed to have relaxed and been allowed to effortlessly do what they do best."
Tickets to Iron & Wine’s Australian tour are on sale from 9am, Tuesday 3 April; for more information, head to theGuide.
