Dua Lipa accused Richard Wilkins of talking "out of your ass" with incorrect reporting yesterday and that's exactly how the Nine entertainment reporter apologised to the UK songwriter.

Wilkins yesterday incorrectly reported that Lipa's newly-screened performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! was live despite her calling off Australian shows in the last fortnight due to having surgery, however Lipa was quick to point out the Jimmy Kimmel set was recorded last month, before she even flew to Australia.

"If you were a good journalist you would’ve done proper research instead of talking out of your ass," Lipa tweeted yesterday.

Appearing on Today this morning, Wilkins addressed the stuff-up.

"She told me that I was talking out of my backside," he said, before standing up and turning to show a sticker on his butt with the word 'SORRY' written on it.

"So, sorry Dua. We love having you here, we love your music..."

Lipa is shockingly *sarcasm* yet to respond to Wilkins' apology. The video has since been deleted from Today's Twitter.

The singer will next perform in Sydney tomorrow night in support of Bruno Mars' 24k Magic Australian tour; click on theGuide for more details.
