Revered Australian music industry figure Nicole Richards has been promoted to Head of Island Records Australia.
The newly created role will see her oversee operation of the label while also spearheading artist development and release strategies for Island Australia artists locally and internationally.
Richards moves up from Head of Australian artists after joining the company in 2012 in a PR role.
“The stand alone Island Records Australia label represents a fresh focus on developing artists careers, maximising opportunities and impacting the market,” reads a statement from Island Records Australia.
Launched in 2007, the label is home to the likes of Boy & Bear, Thundamentals, Broods, Matt Corby and more.
