Ryan Downey Announces Intimate Album Tour & Drops New Single

Indie-folk singer Ryan Downey is blessing his fans today with a brand new single and the reveal of an intimate album tour.

Those Eyes That Answer is the new tune from Downey, accompanied by a raw black and white film clip.

“This song is about witnessing the sublime and gaining a greater sense of yourself in that moment,” Downey explains.

“It’s partly based on seeing Picasso’s Guernica in the flesh. It’s a painting that took me by surprise with it’s overwhelming mix of horror and beauty, leaving me with that strange sensation of feeling tiny in its presence but also connected to something much bigger than myself at the same time.”

It’s the second taste Downey has released from his highly-anticipated debut album Running, which is due to drop 13 April.

Following the release of the LP, Downey is setting out on a trio of shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney during May.
