Jazz-roots quartet The Vampires are kicking off their run of Aussie tour dates this week, on the back of their latest album The Vampires Meet Lionel Loueke.

The band is heading out on a huge nine-date tour that will see them hit Wollongong, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Mount Gambier, Brisbane, Cairns, Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay throughout the rest of March.

"There's nothing we love more than touring around Australia," drummer Alex Masso said.

"We can't wait to get back on the road because the best thing you can do for this music is to play it every night, it's always different.”

The outfit's Australian Music Prize-nominated LP has been making waves since dropping in 2017; even picking up a nomination for Best Jazz Album at the 2017 ARIA Awards.

Tickets to The Vampires 2018 Australian tour are on sale now; for more information, head to theGuide.
