Some of Australia's most iconic bands are joining forces for the largest ever interactive recording project, EveryOneBand, and they want your help.

With over 500 members already, including Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel, Powderfinger, The Preatures, Paul Kelly, Kate Miller-Heidke, The Wiggles, The Angels, Baby Animals and Kasey Chambers, the artists are contributing to EveryOneBand's first single, Stand By You.

All you have to do is join EveryOneBand and you'll receive an email with a link to backing tracks, sheet music and chord charts; simply record yourself singing or playing along and send the file back.

All contributions will be added to the final mix ready for release on Friday 18 March, with all proceeds going towards music charity organisation, Support Act.

If the track is certified Gold, all EveryOneBand members will receive their own certificate

"Joining the band is easy, free and there's no auditions!" EveryOneBand organiser and GANGgajang's Mark Callaghan said.

"You can record as much or as little as you want! Anything, from a flute to a triangle part is welcomed."

He continued, "We've got 52 already and counting! But we want more!

"So join the band, record yourself, send us your recording and you'll be in the biggest band ever!"
