Spring might be a distant daydream but the inaugural Bloom Festival is bringing all the joy of the season a couple months early by unveiling their massive first line-up — and it's all completely free.

The event will run in Brisbane throughout Youth Week this April across five venues and will feature artists like VOIID, Asha Jefferies, Concrete Surfers and a bunch more.

A celebration of the young talent the sunshine state has to offer, the festival is run by a group of students from Fortitude Valley’s Music Industry College alongside industry professionals.

“Being able to put together Youth Week with fellow students from Music Industry College has really opened my mind up, not only creatively, but also commercially,” student and organiser Jack Giess said.

“It's been great to experience the ins and out of the industry in reality.”
