Now in its second year, the One Of One breakfast has taken place in Melbourne today in celebration of both International Women's Day and women in the Australian music industry.

The event, which brings together mentoring experiences, keynote speeches and an awards ceremony, was held at the Abbotsford Convent with the aim to showcase and highlight some of the most important and significant work and people in the industry.

The event was born from the One Of One online community, a site that aims to "shine the spotlight on women in the Australian music industry; artists, managers, label heads, bookers, publicists, radio personalities, tour managers et al", which was created by Ditto Music's Sarah Hamilton and Vader Fame, and The Delancey's Joanna Cameron.

"The second annual One Of One Breakfast was something special. We were surrounded by so many women who have inspired us throughout our careers and we are beyond grateful for the support shown by our community today," shared Cameron and Hamilton following the event.

"We loved seeing women from all parts of the industry, both emerging and established, connecting and celebrating International Women's Day together."

The keynote address came from Mushroom Music Publishing's head of A&R Linda Bosidis, which can be read here, and there were performances from the likes of Ali Barter, Kaiit and Stella Donnelly.

The Unified Emerging Bursary went to Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore and Michelle Grace Hunder for their documentary Her Sound, Her Story, and Alice Skye was awarded a $2,000 grant and mentorship with hip hop artist Briggs.
