The Greatest Showman soundtrack is gunning for its ninth-consecutive week atop the ARIA Albums chart… but not if Vance Joy has anything to do with it.
According to midweek figures, the Melbourne artist's sophomore LP, Nation Of Two, is on track for a top three debut and is the favourite to knock the soundtrack for the Boxing Day-released film (starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya) from top spot.
If Joy is successful, it will mark his second top-charting album following his 2014 debut, Dream Your Life Away, which also peaked at #1.
However don't be surprised to see Ed Sheeran's ÷ (Divide) again push for #1 as the UK superstar prepares to kick off his Australia stadium tour in Perth on Friday.
Meanwhile, Sydney heavyweight Sarah Blasko is aiming for her own top five debut with sixth studio offering, Depth Of Field.
Other debuts this week come from US rapper 6ix9ine with Day69 (predicted to finish top 25) and Augie March's Bootikins (top 50).
Over on the Singles chart, Post Malone is back with yet another hit to challenge for top spot — Psycho featuring Ty Dolla $ign — which is primed for a top three debut and could push Drake's God's Plan from #1.
Expect to also see 5 Seconds Of Summer's comeback track, Want You Back, on the chart (predicted to debut in the top 30) and BlocBoy JB's Look Alive, featuring Drake (top 40).
