A new report issued by Live Nation Entertainment has revealed that almost one million people attended Adele's record-breaking run in Australia last year in what helped the entertainment company post huge figures for 2017.
The UK artist's 11 sold-out stadium concerts throughout the country last March attracted an audience in excess of 700,000, ensuring it as not only one of the three highest-selling tours in Australasian live performance history (alongside AC/DC's 2010 Black Ice tour and Dire Straits' 1986 Brothers In Arms tour), but also the highest-grossing tour of the country ever.
Other 2017 Australian tours that helped increase Live Nation's revenue by 24% ($US10.3 billion) included Drake, The Weeknd and Twenty One Pilots.
