Just weeks out from the 2018 event, Bluesfest has nabbed itself another gong, taking home silver at the Australian Tourism Awards for Best Major Festival & Event.
The festival beat out the likes of the F1 Melbourne Grand Prix to nab second spot at a ceremony in Perth on Friday night, just behind the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, which took out top spot.
"There is no shame in coming second in the final of the Australian Tourism Awards," Bluesfest Executive Director Peter Noble said.
"Bluesfest was up against Australia’s creme de la creme in the category Best Major Festivals and Events."

It’s certainly not the first time that the beloved festival has been recognised for excelling in its field.
Late last year Bluesfest was inducted into the NSW Tourism Hall Of Fame after winning Best Major Festival & Event at the NSW Tourism Awards three times in a row and it also recently received the Keeping the Blues Alive Award from The Blues Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee.
"It is a challenge to present a festival that continues to win and be nominated for so many awards," Noble said.
"We do not take it for granted and will always strive to provide the best in music, and the services we provide to our patrons."
The 2018 Bluesfest kicks off at the end of March, featuring performances from the likes of Robert Plant, Tash Sultana, Seal, Lionel Richie and many more.
