Perth alt-rockers Patient Sixty-Seven have given fans another taste of their upcoming EP with a blistering new single.

The Void expands on the sounds explored on lead single Before You Go and leans heavily on a chaotic rhythm section and a soaring hook, promising exciting things ahead.

The Void is a reference point to that space of uncertainty,” vocalist Tom Kiely told The Music.

“Finding yourself in a difficult place, things get hard and you’re trying to pinpoint where it’s going wrong.

“It came up in conversation with someone I was speaking to, as this thought process, or a headspace, however you want to imagine it – where you find yourself falling over again and again into the same dark places and you’re asking yourself why?

“This song was a way of voicing that frustration and finding a real sustainable way out of the same cycle, confronting the failure and really looking at yourself as the solution over the problem.”

The new song features The Bad Chapter’s Phil Druyor and will appear on the Four Walls EP, which drops March 2.
