After a sold-out preliminary hometown show in Ballarat at the start of the month, Freya Josephine Hollick's east coast tour begins in earnest this Thursday, 15 Feb at Leadbelly in Sydney.
Blending disparate sounds - from bossa nova to jazz and funk - with a love of everything Appalachian, Hollick is the undisputed doyenne of the Australian cosmic country scene. 2017 proved a watershed year, Hollick finishing EP Don't Mess The Doyenne and recording Pearly Gates Of The Landfill with Robert Ellis & The Perfect Strangers. She also snagged three Age Music Victoria Award nominations, a grant from Creative Victoria and toured with Justin Townes Earle, in between performing at countless festivals around the country.
Now to kick off 2018, Hollick will crisscross VIC, NSW and QLD with her full band in tow throughout February and March.
