Melbourne-based metalcore outfit Alpha Wolf have withdrawn from the remaining two dates on their Mono album tour following sexual assault allegations against a member of the band.

The band issued a statement to Facebook, stating that, in light of the allegations, they would not perform this weekend’s shows in Brisbane and Sydney, but supports Honest Crooks and Daybreak would.

“The individual member has made a statement, which we stand behind, however we feel the best course of action for now is to leave the matter in hands of legal authorities to be resolved with our full co-operation,” they said.

"Further, we believe allegations of this nature should always be brought to the attention of the relevant authorities, and we support anyone genuinely affected to speak up."

If you or someone you know is impacted by sexual assault, domestic or family violence, call 1800RESPECT on 1800 737 732 or visit 1800RESPECT.org.au.

The Music has reached out to the band's label, Greyscale Records, for comment.
