Fall Out Boy’s hopes in finally nabbing an Australia #1 album have been dashed after falling to The Greatest Showman soundtrack on this week's ARIA Albums chart.
The punk-pop purveyor’s seventh album, M A N I A, has debuted at #3, sitting just behind Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide) at #2 and The Greatest Showman soundtrack at #1.
Pink’s Beautiful Trauma and Sam Smith’s The Thrill Of It All have held safe at #4 and #3 respectively.
Sibling duo First Aid Kit have just missed out on debuting in the top ten with their new album Ruins coming in at #13. Fellow debut, Of Mice & Men's Defy also placed just out of its predicted top 25 spot, making its mark at #29.
Over on the single’s chart, Drake’s God’s Plan has debuted at the #5 position behind River by Eminem Ft. Ed Sheeran (#4), Post Malone’s I Fall Apart (#3), Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line with Meant To Be (#2) and the unshakeable Ed Sheeran with Perfect (#1).
