There's just one day remaining until the countdown that stops the nation takes place — triple j's Hottest 100!

This week, our friends over at triple j shared some very cryptic stats about what artists and songs will make up this year's list; there will be five songs that were uploaded to triple j Unearthed, 26 artists will appear in the countdown for the very first time, and there will be 65 Aussie songs that will take out a spot in the top 100.

So, much like the great Sherlock Holmes, we've decided to use the power of deduction and have a crack at who could be making the cut… We've chosen these lists based on acts that were mighty impressive in 2017, fit the three aforementioned criteria and using stats from the likes of Warm Tunas and previous triple j countdowns. These are in no particular order and are not a reflection of where we think artists will place.

Of course, make sure you comment if there's someone HUGE we've missed that will definitely be in contention.
