There’s a wealth of local talent to digest on this Saturday’s North Freo Pub Crawl, with four stages overflowing with some of the state’s best.
Two of those stages, Swan Hotel’s Basement and Lounge, have been curated by swamp-blues veterans The Floors, who have given The Music some insight into their line-up choices.
Oosterbanger
Her songs are both confronting and beautiful. Live, she’s louder than most bands. Her guitar playing is like a chainsaw. All guitars should sound like that.
Tanaya Harper
Good songs. Amazing voice. Make you cry. Set you free.
Cuntsnot
Saw footage of them recorded at Camp Doogs. Sounded cool. Hurt my head and made me want to dance.
Heavy Flow
Our manager, Hayley, told us this band is real good. They’re from Willetton.
The Kuillotines
We used to go see and play with The Kuillotines at the Hydey. They don’t play much these days, so don’t miss this. You’ll never forgive yourself.
Nerve Quakes
Their music makes me feel like I’m flying through the galaxy whilst riding a chorus pedal. It’s real cool.
Zerodent
Good songs. That’s all that ever matters. And passion. They’ve got both.
The Volcanics
Wall of sound and energy. They’re usually cooking people’s brains around Europe.
Last Quokka
Caught Last Quokka at Mojo’s one night and they blew my head off. Reminded me of X. X rule and so do Last Quokka.
The annual North Freo Pub Crawl will be headlined by FOAM, Rag N Bone, Pat Chow and Jacob Diamond and more.
