Fall Out Boy are well on their way to scoring their first-ever Australian #1 album this week with their seventh LP, M A N I A.
According to midweek figures, the US pop-punkers' new record is on track to debut in the top three of the ARIA Albums chart and will challenge for top spot against last week's #1 album, The Greatest Showman soundtrack, and Ed Sheeran's ÷ (Divide).
Fall Out Boy's last two albums, 2015's American Beauty/American Psycho and 2013's Save Rock & Roll peaked on the chart at #3 and #2 respectively.
The band are set to tour Australia next month in support of M A N I A; click on theGuide for more details.
Other album debuts this week include First Aid Kit's Ruins (top ten), Of Mice & Men's Defy (top 25) and Black Label Society's Grimmest Hits.
Over on the Singles chart, Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line's Meant To Be is the latest track to make a play for top spot and is predicted to climb into the top three after placing at #5 last week.
It looks to be the only threat to Sheeran clinching his eighth-straight week atop the list with Perfect.
Expect to also see new tunes on the chart this week from Dua Lipa with IDGAF (top 25), Rudimental's These Days, ft. Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen (top 30), Kylie Minogue's Dancing (top 35) and Keith Urban's Parallel Line (top 45).
